Liver specialist and academic
Professor Alazawi is an internationally recognised academic and leads a thriving research group in London that studies liver disease. His research is funded by major charities and the Medical Research Council and is published in leading medical journals. He consults and lectures on liver disease internationally. He leads the British Association for the Study of the Liver special interest group in fatty liver disease and is a Clinical Advisor to the British Liver Trust.
Professor Alazawi is passionate about communicating with the public about his science and about the liver in health and disease. He is an accomplished public speaker and is often invited to speak around the world to medical and lay audiences alike. He is often invited to contribute in the lay press with recent articles in newspapers and lifestyle magazines.
